information on the Government's new Family Pharmacare Program
The Group of IX has submitted its recommendations on Pharmacare to the
Minister of Health. There is agreement on a 75/25% split on
costs to the program and it has recommended no change in the current
premium ($424.00) or prescription co-pay ($382.00 max).
There will be new information on payment options in the Pharmacare
Renewal Form. With the introduction of a Family Pharmacare
program, the Group of IX is requesting additional staff to insure that
proper information is made available to assist those who wish to join
these programs.
